This bike is trying too hard.
agreed. And the bar tape is of just enough shades of green to make it look ridiculous... In a bad way. |

Sorry, I was being an ass. I think the grid lines in the background are messing with the bike's own lines and you should probably take the photo from a lower point of view. Best position for crank is forward and in line with the chain stays IMO. Other than the crank, your bike looks great and is definitely hot. Probably much better in the flesh than your photo though.

Thanks for the feedback. Regarding the bar tape, the Fizik tape came closest to matching the green accents on the De Rosa. On that pic, I'm sure the sunlight made the tape brighter than it actually is. Here's another pic and the tape doesn't seem as bright.

No worries, this is the thread that allows people to be an ass. To be honest, most everything you said to change are things I still want to change, so I had to ask for more detail.

Primov- I absolutely love that merak. I would take it off your hands as is!!!

Put me in the camp that likes the bar tape...if you're going to deviate from stealth perfection, then make a bold statement! You might even consider getting some custom green threaded Handlebra leather tape.
This De Rosa is super HOT as always. The component upgrade is great, although TBH the crank arms graphics from Rotor are not to my taste.

Congrats on the new bike. IMO, the only thing I'd change are the chainrings. Everything else flows with the rest of the bike. HOT Evo.

I love those cranks but I'm going to need you to flip the bottle cages before I give you a hot.

maybe he just too the photo in a mirror, and they only look backwards upside-down?

The original photo is gone. The bottle cages were bolted upside-down. Besides, no mirror is going to effect the way the cages look but not the bike itself.
the cages were flipped. so embarrassing.. just got in those smoked cages i didnt event look just slapped it on. will flip front skewer. a cell phone shot for now. |

Have you checked out the Bar Fly 2 yet? It sits lower and also allow you fasten the junction box to it. That will clean up your cockpit a lot.
I just ordered a pair from Arts Cyclery. |
The Cannondale is too shiny. I don't like the wheels much. They be better in a matt black. Other than that it's quite nice.

If the stem/stack height doesn't get most people, the tires probably will
