Thank you sir. I will say however, I like riding the one a lot more than the other.

I didn't want to influence your decision. I saw your post earlier. They flex a little, but for me, not enough to care. Four years on the k-wings and second set.

For the meat heads that torque their bars a ton, I could see some frustration. Some dude here called them "ridiculously flexy." That's just dumb.

That person might be a fat ass. While riding, it seems to smooth out the road a bit better, which with the stiffness of the Cervelo on the Zipps it can be a good thing on longer rides. I'm down in the low 150's again so my weight doesn't really do a lot to them. I only really notice the flex when holding the bars, and pushing down on them, not when riding. I love the internal cable routing, it cleans it up a bit. I think I am going to cut 1-2cm off of the drops. I just don't ever grip back that far, and it will help my weight penalty I took installing these.

Ironically I've had the Syntace Racelite Carbons for about the same amount of time as you've had your K wings. I love those bars, but I just think it was time to try something different. Not to mention, I'm going to be riding the Trek more to spread out the maintenance a bit. So I wanted some good bars back on it. I hated the alloy bars I had on there.

Wait to cut them. It's a good hand position. Try it first.

FSA added that longer section based on complaints that the previous version was too short. I agree.

And I agree that person was probably a fat ass. I was trying to be diplomatic.

Yeah, I was going to cut it before installation. I figured I'd give it some time first. It was really hard for me buying bars that were 80g more than my previous ones. Then I thought that if I am going to waste weight, comfort would be a good thing to waste it on. It's nice the shorter length of bartape, and shorter cables saved me 14g. It's a bit closer now.

Did you honestly think I wasn't going to weigh the scraps after taking on 80g more of handlebars? It took me 3 days to talk myself into buying those bars. I don't like adding weight. I dunno if it's because I know it's heavier, but it feels like the front weighs more now when I pick the bike up.

Real bikes have curves and most men would appreciate a little more to hold on to up front

Not really in the hot category just trying to pull this thread back away from the "addiction crew" and weight weenies. Got this as a second bike. Made of some kinda carbon. Despite that it rides fairly nice!!

Puhleeze. That's some second bike. Nice and hot. I really like the SST.

Looks good, but what is "Arbon", and what are you trying to do again? Looks like you could loose, like all of those spacers too. The white, bartape, stem, and saddle look pretty nice in this application.

arbon is Carbon at 230am....The spacers to be eliminated, as perfect fit is determined, saddle height is perfect now, no spacers would equal about 5 1/2" drop and me needs a little more stetchy..what am I trying to do again? Now you sound like my wife..

Soloist Assassin 04-15-11 05:56 AM

5.5" of drop is a good number. That's right where I set up all my bikes at. ;)

Ha! I'd rather have that than the Lynskey. Personal preference, of course.

Whoops, realized I never replied to your question. All told, I'm around $1500.

Love these Fuji's. Photo tip - shoot your bike in front of the garage when it is in the shade. :)
