Thanks man. That's quite the compliment. I think the future changes will be new bars. I had thought about doing the crank bolt but I don't it is something I want to do. I'd rather get a DA RD and DA cassette down the road to save some more weight.

There's something about raw/naked Ti bikes that always get me.

The fat tire mt. bikes are really designed to be used in heavy mud, sand, packed snow conditions and are tank like when compared to modern hard tail mountain bikes. I believe both the Surley Pugsley and the Salsa Mukluk weigh 35lbs + (yikes) which is a huge weight penalty to carry in conditions other than those previously mentioned. Not sure what the Motobecane weighs though.

first of all, as an owner of two centurions myself (a super le mans and a comp TA), i really think this is awesome.
the group is fine, and i like the easton fork and seatpost.
but to make it HOT (in my opinion)...
being into matchy matchy components, i would have found some sort of easton stem.
the wheelset is nice, but aesthetically dosn't fit in with the frame to me. a bit new school looking on an oldish school steel frame...especially the red hub/spoke.
im also thinking going all black for the saddle and handlebar tape.
that and i would angle the handlebars down some. and the saddle level.

this is all nit picking though, and i would still say i like the bike the way it sits even though i would have made several different choices parts wise

That wheelset is a limited edition, which is why it has the red hub.

Wow. What a classy bike. It's beautiful. And then YELLOW tires?! Wow, again, but this time not in a good way, the bike is so classy, elegant, timeless... with garish tires. Otherwise, I'd vote hot, but not as is.

i didn't have a question about it, i just dont think the wheelset with the red hub fit aesthetically on the bike. just my opinion.
it definitely is a nice wheelset though.

Well, the tires are way off for this bike. The bars are pointing down. Chainstay guard not kosher. It would be nice to have a ti seat post and ti cages. IMHO, still needs some work.

HOTTT... Classic color scheme for the bike frame, love the black and white framing the "corners" being the handlebars, saddle, and wheels. And I usually dislike classic frames with new wheels. Nice job!

Moots is HOTTT... Are those non-vintage chainrings?

HOTTT... Great color highlights. Wind tunnel testing might not show it to be as "fast" as the Venge, but the C1 is a lot more pleasing aesthetically, IMO.

Haha yes, you caught me. Shifters, Brakes, Derailleurs, are Hubs and Dura Ace 7700. But the crank was switched to a newer external bottom bracket type (Ultegra 6600 Compact).

I might take off those yellow tires one of these days, but I think it looks pretty cool.

I'm always amazed how much conversation that Centurion creates... after all these years... not bad! As an FYI... the stem is an EA70, but I couldn't find something the same period as the stem (that replaced an original Sugino alloy) so it is 2013 black with grey fade lettering.

Pretty hot, but one demerit for those handlebars. Not a fan of the shape.
