Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Its weird how this is those of were the last years before everything went sloping geometry. You can actually create large frames without massively tall head tubes by doing the opposite of sloping geometry (where the top tube slants downward toward the head tube). Its hell to fit riders with short legs long torsos, but might be the answer for those who are the opposite with long legs and medium/shorter torsos if they want a traditional frame without a tall head tube. I remember my old 1999 5200 in USPS colors and even the small frames had that geometry. very aesthetically appealing in a traditional sense.

Could be that particular batch of Mavic Ksy logos - looks like the rims are moving...

Got possibilities IMO, clean lines and nicely unobnoxious for a Trek..., although I'm ambivalent about the the look after removing only one of Zipp decals.

Slam the stem. Also, how tall are you? The saddle looks really high.

Looks high due to the virtual top tube. DOH!

I would say the Cinelli is warm. That Thomson seatpost is not helping the matters

The saddle isn't helping either. Probably comfortable and the correct one for the OP, but it is not hot.

Cinelli is very hot. So clean. I would prefer a more modern/slimmer saddle though.

Bikes: Lots

New build- GURU Praemio "R" titanium. Zipp cockpit (bars/stem/post), Record (ergos/frt-rear derails/brakes/cassette), Stronglight Pulsion crank w/Praxis rings (52/36), Reynolds 46s. Apologies for breaking the "no seat-bag/white garage door" rule, my bad. Full build pics here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsjQsPxrM

Not a fan of the red chain bolt rings, plastic water bottle cages, 80mm tubes or the trunk or the fact it appears to be staged next to a sub...

For the Cinelli to work for me, it needs a different, less contemporary seatpost. Either a Campy of the appropriate vintage or group, or, something like a Miche Supertype.
