Yeah, I have wanted to slam my stem for a long time but have recently come to grips that it isn't for everyone. As much as it pains me to say, I would rather chose comfort than vanity in this situation. love your bike

It's strange to me the Parlee does the longer head tube like that. Seems like they could just bring the top tube up a bit and reduce the amount above.

I have plenty of opinions in life, but not enough to offer Bob Parlee bike design advice. It is pretty frigging comfortable, though.

Your opinion matters most. He would not have much to do if you and others did not buy his stuff.

Not really. Stack height does look extreme. Lights shold have been removed for photo. Bike set a bad stage/angle. I suggest to try again for this thread.

Some may like it.

Every bike should have lights.

Nice bike.

craigcraigcraig 12-24-13 03:05 PM

whoa, worst decals for wheels ever.

SpeshulEd 12-24-13 03:14 PM

Slam those stems, you fatties! lol.

I started high and worked my way down over time, I found the more I rode the easier it was to get lower. The downside, I had to take a couple off weeks of recently and when I got back on the bike I missed those spacers.

Potential, but things I don't like:
- crankset
- wheels
- lights
- color scheme = meh at best
- lots of spacers

It has potential.
Are those wheels photoshopped in? They look a bit egg shaped.

Hot! Would look even better with some deeper (or carbon) wheels though. Very impressive weight for a bike equipped with Rival.

Thanks, I agree on the deep cargo wheels, but I am moving to Aviano Italy in the spring, and I wanted a light set of climbing wheels!

As far as the wight, I don't have a scale, I used a bathroom scale. weighed myself 3 times, then myself holding the bike 3 times. 15.6 was the difference...

Well, I've never posted this bike in here knowing how it would probably fare. But now I think my ego is strong enough, plus I just put these exceedingly hot wheels on (they ride nicely too). I also figure that most of you are fairly liquored up on Egg Nog!

Pics are from just after today's short ride, the joys of the job skiing/boarding in the morning and ride in the afternoon.
