It's the Inception of Hot'r'Not

It's really attractive but not quite over the edge to hot for me. The finishing tape is awful, it's almost always ugly and doesn't stick well, should only be used on pro bikes because they're being paid to use it and pimp it even though it's crap. I will say the PRO integrated one piece bar and stem combo is HOT tho.

I'm trying to figure out why it's not hot for me. Maybe a white saddle and white bartape would make it hot.

Nowhere near as bad as some Cannondales.

Normally I like yellow on black, but that one really leaves me cold. On the other hand, the modest-hued Cannondale is pretty darned tasteful - I'd almost say tasty.

Fox Farm 03-02-16 12:56 AM

Both of you folks are short in height. Small frames! I think that what makes the Specialized harder on the eyes for me is not the yellow on black as much as the sloping top tube on such as small frame. The Cannondale not so much. Again nice bikes and kudos for the Boyd wheelset in photo 2..

the sci guy 03-02-16 11:56 AM

I don't care for how the stems appear to be a huge shark with open jaws chomping down on the bars

sced 03-02-16 03:29 PM

sameness predominates

This be my race bike as I am a firm believer in "don't race what you can't replace."
Aluminum frame Carbon Fork; whole build is at 16.2lbs as it sits for you WW out there.

that is a great race bike for a privateer.

It's not Hot by the thread's standards, but an "all business" race bike.

I like it a lot.

Wanted to post a picture of my new cycle:

2015 Marvel with Ultegra 6800. The bike handles like a dream on my crappy New England roads.

Slammed the stem and put on new bars since last post. Still trying to figure out a way to get a second bottle cage on the frame.

The cages are a nice choice for the bike....

Why - what's the idea?

The peculiar chainstay arrangement got me to thinking, though: when I rode motorcycles, all the cool guys had single sided swingarms on their sport bikes. How about a bicycle with single sided hubs?

You needn't squint or zoom; yes, English.

Easily replaceable belt drive without a split in the rear triangle, I'd wager.

it's a way of using a belt drive, without the need to have an interupted seat/chainstay.

Next time I'm at his shop I'll show some of the tube junctions in more detail. It really is beautiful up close.
