People post photos of their bikes, and have asked whether they are hot or not. I'm offering my opinion. Isn't that the point of the thread? Has my critique been too harsh of any bike posted?

Valve caps? Old(er) Campy cranks and EPS and the bike is hotter than very hot.

If you don't post your bike because it's a **** bike, then your opinion holds no value whatsoever. It's like driving a civic and calling a bentley a POS. The guy in the bentley couldn't care less what you think of him, he's driving a ****ing bentley.

Do as you please, but everytime you say "not", we all laugh at you.

The point is to increase our appreciation of something we care about. If you don't care, then your opinion is is neither kind nor harsh, it's meaningless. It's one thing to not be sensitive to the harshness or kindness of what someone may say (in which case to 'not care what other people think' would make sense), quite another to willfully ignore or hold oneself above the kind of judgement one would pass on others.

Yes! And a question...how do you like the drops and the front suspension? I've been wanting to throw drops on an old mountain bike and make it an adventure bike, but never thought about using a front suspension. That's pretty cool.

It worked well for how I used this bike, but I plan putting low-riser bars on this, and putting these on a Salsa Cutthroat w/a rigid fork.

It's hot, but I think we both have the same problem holding us back from unreal out of this world hotness - Really classy frame DIMs but not the best choice in handlebars. Angled ergo bars just don't suit this style imo. Otherwise the bike is fixing to take noodle soups time trial bike out on a pity date.

Class. Don't listen to anyone who says it needs some color. Black says nothing and its what we fill in the blanks with that make it such a cool color.

I want to say not because it's so monochromatic... but in this case black is beautiful. HOT

I bet this will be found appealing to a lot of people! Hot for what it is, I just don't find older bikes all that attractive. I can appreciate what they are, but rarely would give an older style bike a second look.

I have never liked the look of bikes with shifter cables that insert into the top tube behind the stem... until now. HOT!

Hot aside from the bars... although I am sure your choices are limited given the quill stem. I typically do not like colored housing, but the red there really works! Same for the gumwalls, never found them appealing but they look good in this instance.

Increase hotness by leveling the top of the bar so that it is parallel with the stem and top tube. You will need to push the hoods down a little too so that they are not pointing at the sky.

If you need the hoods where they are then lower the bar by lowering the height the stem. The lower stem in relation to the height of the seat will increase the hotness factor as well.
