We like to get on each other about how we all look compared to each other but we should be sticking together because in reality the general population all looks at us the same. Like a bunch of weeny spandex wearing, car-annoying FREDS.

What rules?

The wrong color is not hot. It's like you're trying to argue with somebody who is saying he doesn't like blondes.

Black would be boring, to you. To me, the bike screams mis matched with the awful shade they used of that green yellow. Half of the bike has black graphics already on it. That is not hot.

For the sake of reference, it's not green/yellow but high vis yellow. Giant has a thing with hi vis this season, as they have other bikes in their lineup that are all high vis. The bike I posted is actually a flat/matte blue color with gloss black and high vis accents. Color aside, I enjoy the matte/gloss combo in it's own right. Which is exactly my plan when I get my next bike custom painted.

Carry on.

I'm not gonna argue with there.

It always amuses me when people talk **** in the Hot r Not thread, but never post their bike.

It will be as hot as the bike can be when you remove the wheel stickers.

Unfortunately, they aren't stickers and are not removeable

I'd take you up on that bet in a heartbeat. Look at his stats on his veloviewer, he's not one to sneeze at. He gets KOMs on fixies.

Shame about his personality though.

My KOMs and Strava mean nothing. It's just a gauge to see how I do from year to year.

Honestly people, we're talking about carbon rims. Some people like them, some people don't. On a modern carbon bike, I think they look good up to about 50mm. That's just my preference. I think skinny rims and tires on big tubed carbon bikes just look out of place.

Not true. There's also the group with giant saddle bags, HiVis everything, and dozen lights and gadgets mounted to the handlebars....

You will catch flak for "omg matte black" but that gets a hot from me.

Caveat:
-Valve caps
-Mismatched and misaligned tires
-Single bottle cage? Crit hero only?

People are gonna say no because it is all black, matte black, murdered out, too much black, yadda yadda, but at the end of the day, this is hot.

Agreed, and if so, then solid work.

The Reynolds RZR rear wheel has a central flange, so the spokes effectively go into three different flanges, that's why the spoking looks weird.

Black bikes matter. Hot. Hate Shimano cranks in general and now hate Campy cranks too.

my comment wasn't about his bike

BTW, this thread is all about judging the bike that is posted. If you don't want to hear what people have to say, don't post a photo. I don't give a damn what people think, so I don't post a photo of my bikes.

I take it you only meant that your bike is not presentable (which is fine), not that you really don't care (which wouldn't make much sense).

Of course if people don't believe their own bikes are ready or worthy of examination, then they shouldn't post photos of them here, but the only way this thread isn't a bad idea is if we DO care, at least in some small way. And sure, plenty of people find themselves with homely bikes and without the resources to make them good looking. But if the question of whether ones own bike is hot or not is unworthy of consideration, then surely the question of whether anyone else's bike is hot or not is even LESS worthy of consideration. Besides, if you really don't care what people think, why on earth would anyone care what you have to say?

I haven't posted a photo of, any of my bikes because I don't care whether anyone here thinks it looks hot or not. What part of that doesn't make sense?

Hot, but needs just a touch of color.

The central flange is the only way to transmit torque effectively for that wheel. The wheel is pretty hot in itself but that's what I thought about Spinergies about 17 years ago.

They look pretty hot, but I found that they were more laterally flexible than I would like.
