Thankfully, Al Gore put his money where his mouth is and did an enormous rebuild on his house. It actually has a lot of LEED points now, after having put in systems for recycling rain/domestic grey water for non potable systems, solar panels, geothermal heating/cooling, etc etc. It's actually pretty cool, my company designs systems like this but on a much bigger, non-residential scale. I agree, Al Gore's ridiculous energy useage looked really bad, so I'm glad that something was done about it.

Its a nice house. Not an architectural work of art but it is nice. Of course I like vanilla ice cream too. HEB (local grocery) carries a store brand that is just fantastic. Might have to treat myself to some after my ride this morning. :)
