Lance #1 again!!!

Armstrong tops list of city's largest water users

"I need to fix this," Armstrong said. "To use that much more water (than most residents) is unacceptable. I have no interest in being the top water user in Austin, Texas."

But Lance...you're WINNING!!!

Nice aerial shot of his house next to the headline.

Wow, I knew one day they would find a terrible, terrible skeleton in that guys closet. How does he live with himself?

Pharmr 08-15-08 01:22 PM

how green!

Doggus 08-15-08 01:22 PM

He was number 2 in Leadville.

tekhna 08-15-08 01:23 PM

At least it wasn't an Olsen twins skeleton.

I bet Sheryl Crow queen of 1 square of toilette paper shook her head when she heard this.

waterrockets 08-15-08 01:41 PM

They're clearly not counting the water I drink on my lunch rides.

Are you filling up your bottles from Lance's water spigot?:p

When your bidet puts out 10 gallons a minute, you only need 1 square!

TarmacRider 08-15-08 01:51 PM

That's a hella nice house!

dstrong 08-15-08 02:08 PM

I rode past his house a couple of weeks ago. I could swear there was a lone paparazzi staking out the house, parked under a tree. There are two different gates and wondered which one was Lances'. Now I see that they're both Lances'...the Big House and the Little House (which is probably bigger than mine).

Mom what are you doing on BF? Get back in the cellar.

Jay68442 08-15-08 02:14 PM

I just have to think there are more important things to report than Lance’s water bill.

Al Gore's electric bill?

patentcad 08-15-08 02:23 PM

Lance's property is flat. That hoser could never make it up my hill.

By the way, I've had the sprinkler system turned off here all week, just so you know. And I haven't had a pool since my kid outgrew the inflatable one we had in the back yard when she was little.

Really? Did another attractive white girl go missing?

There's no line between entertainment and news media.

2WheelFury 08-15-08 02:26 PM

How often do you think he's really at that house anyway? Probably not too often. And when he is, the article even says all the bills and crap are handled by a management company - that's very common with wealthy/busy people who can't be bothered with day-to-day stuff like that.

But yea, the usage is excessive. Maybe him and Al Gore ought to team up to do a lecture series on conservation. :p

In this sport, one must remain properly hyydrated.

I disagree...keep tapping away and you will either be discovered or gain the wisdom to start your own online forum and then make millions (n.b., I'm an ecommerce expert and professor and I approved this message).

In Austin now. My yard is a sort of brownish yellow color and it's been 95-105* for a while now and with no significant rain since may.

PCad, there are some decent climbs on the neighborhood streets near his house (e.g., the short climb up Balcones about 400 yards or so past 35th), and, a bit further away, I always find Spicewood Springs (not the "Old" one) a challenge, particularly near the top...(I never found Mt Bonnell that difficult)...come on out -- I'll set you up -- and we'll clean your clock...by the way, I should be passing through Chester again sometime within the next 2 weeks or so...should have my bike in tow :-)
