Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My own Labor Day Report

Decided that I needed to stretch my legs some and get on the bike. Did a route that was ~38.8 miles with 4500ft of climbing. Most of the riding was nice and a good temperature out here in Boulder. Some of the roads leave much to be desired with pot holes but I didn't have any major issues with them. Took 36 out to left hand, up to Jamestown, CO, back down to Lee Hill and over across to Boulder.

Anyway, here are some pics:

Great pics. I love Colorado. Would like to move up there some day, after I get my Broncos season tix.

Looks like great weather for riding too.

Left Hand is a great climb. I wish I had gotten out today, but had to plan for a business trip tomorrow. I rode Deer Creek Canyon yesterday though.
