A quick dumb question
When drafting, where do you look? Do you keep your eye on the back wheel of the guy in front of you or do you focus on some other point?

What if the guy in front is the only guy in front of you? I don't ride with people too often. But recently, on my commute I've been running into this guy who likes to take turns drafting.

Your focus shoould be past the hips of the rider in front of you, looking up the road. You should keep the rider's wheel in your peripheral vision.

Keep your eye on the flow of the group. Whatever it takes to do that.
After a while you will begin to drive the same way you draft...not looking at brake lights, rather at the speed differences between the cars....
.....oh and you'll tailgate everyone.

Don't stare at the wheel! You'll get hypnotized!
[Sunday morning's race I was in a three man chase group for 10 miles and I was so damned tired that I had to remind myself to keep my head up and actually look down the road. I didn't want to be the guy that took out 2 other guys in the middle of a flat, open road. ]
