Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm pretty much anti-hipster as a rule, but those are pretty cool. I feel weird. Christ, maybe I need a tattoo.

I loved it. That's the kind of kids I grew up with . . . doing the kind of things we used to do.

Brought me back to my youth, to the days I was having so much fun I never expected to live to see thirty, and didn't care.

NOW look at me . . . I would kill my son if he tried to do those stunts. You just get more sense once you get older. I think it's called wisdom.

I like the end... Lance still has some good acceleration... looks like he's going to need it next summer.

Austin looks very cool. Mellow Johnny's, great music and BBQ.

I gotta go there. I'm taking my bike. Lance is in Big Trouble.

Well, OK, maybe not that last thing, but still.

Wait, so how come when Lance hops on a fixed-gear bike and rides with 'hooligans' he's awesome? When I do it, I'm old and pathetic.

Nevermind. Asked and answered.

Austin is about the only part of Texas worth visiting.... Unlike the rest of the state the people are very cool, great food, music and bikes!

I like other parts of the state too, but Austin is very different from the rest of Tx.
