Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I used to spend time on a diesel truck forum. It was moderated to death, people banned, etc until some of the participants began their own forum. The old one still exists, but the new one is where you get the best info and cutting edge knowledge. Funniest part was that the most obnoxious guy on the old one, kinda like Ryanf here, was one of the new moderators and owners. One of the best moves anyone ever made. The old forum lost its zip, and people still go there, but anything the mods think might cost them advertising $$$ is quickly sanitized. Same thing is happening here. Guess we could always start our own forum, but is this small part of my life really worth the work? Options happen. You just have to want it bad enough.

Rest assured, on the Pcad Cycling Zen Forum, you would all be banned the first week. Especially that subversive commie botto.

We might keep Chipcom around for the ice cream.

The moderation here is astounding. I've probably had 100 posts of mine deleted. I've never spammed, trolled, used profanity or attacked another member. But just disagreeing with the wrong people will get your posts deleted.

I've done all of the above and not only have I disagreed with anyone and everyone, I've been disagreeable to anyone and everyone. I've yet to have been banned or had a post deleted. So it's probably just you.

I'm not a fan of the moderation of this forum. Most internet forums lock a thread, so there is transparency as to why and what the mods are doing. Here, it is like the pictures say, its a silent dictatorship. People are banned quietly and never appear again. Threads do the same. \

It is against the spirit of the internet if you ask me.

I am sure you'd only let me register at pcadcyclingzen.com just so you could ban me... I wouldn't even last the first day.

The Moderators regret to inform you that you have been pre-banned. You can apply for re-instatement in 100 years.

All I did was agree with BD, saying the mods are being ridiculous

You think?

Suck all the fun out of this place why don't you?

I'd call them idiots, but I'd get banned. So I'd have to categorically state, for the record, that at this juncture, they are not being idiots.*

I think you are clearly implying they are idiots. That's an unfortunate violation of new BF Bylaws.

Let's all report EVERY post to the Mods.
