I am, who would have thought that not only does the man have some sort of job which presumably takes up some of his time, he rides like 3 hours a day and posts here for another 3 - where does he find the time to keep his yard looking so darm good? Golf cource nice.
Oh wait, you were talking about the yard right?

An arthritic L5/S1 spinal joint, much like my own, except mine has the hardware from the pointless major surgery that did absolutely nothing to alleviate my back pain. On the bright side, I did wind up on massive doses of oxycontin after all else failed. Got tired of that after several years. Now I'm hooked on endorphins. And no trips to the pharmacy. That's what motivates me to ride.
Hell, my dentist gave me a prescription for Tylenol with Codeine after my recent root canal procedure. The paper is in the drawer, I never filled it. I've been taking Aleve.

If you didn't ride, your spine would seize up and you'd be a walking skeleton?

Nice, pcad - looks just like a ride in this part of PA. Except my yard looks crappy, and I don't live at the top of a hill.
Bet that deck is a great spot to camp out and take in the view with a good bottle of wine.

That's only about 7% grade on average. Sure, you have some steep parts, but they are short.

Now of course it doesn't matter how tired I am, I manage to grind up it regardless.

At the risk of being too "nice" and defending pcad (who certainly doesn't need my help), those steep, albeit short, sections at the end of any ride of length and effort are gonna hurt. Even a little 5-6% at mile 98 when the legs are done hurts.
Ok, I'm done being nice now. HTFU, pcad

BTW, nice house and yard. However, you have no idea what a minefield is until you get a .15 acre lot and have the puppy shown here hang out with you for a couple weeks.
