Racing season over? BAH....there is a MTB race this weekend and there is X.
There is no season for RIDING. Either you get on the bike or not. You understand....as far as the road nazis.....they just need to go start a thread on leg shaving, posing, matching sunglasses to bike frames or something else. For me...I always look for a challenge regardless of what MONTH it is. I still have a few centuries to ride this year, Going to do 3 different MTB courses in 1 day in Chattanooga next month...start out in the morning and finish with lights on. It's either ride or sit around feeling bad and eating all day. |

It's time to break out the rulers.

I don't need more miles. I think I need less miles.

Paging Machka! Machka please report to this thread and post some serious miles for Rutnick.....
wasn't really anything special about the ride but it must be nice to call others into a conversation because you can't do it yourself. Somehow...you think I was talking to you and not Pcad. |

I told my better half that I was taking Sunday off this weekend. Her response was..."you mean we can actually do something this sunday?!" She also asked if I was going to take Thanksgiving and or Christmas off....I just told her not to get ahead of things. |

So, if I ride 650,000 feet, will you be impressed?
I haven't been impressed with your replies when clearly the post title is for Pcad, lack of "getting it" so far. I doubt you'd impress me with riding either since you had to call in someone else to impress me with distance riding. I know what kind of mileage Machka does. It apparently isn't what YOU do. You're going to have to do better if you are even going to dent me. Insults and swearing are part of our group rides and that's just from the women. |

(i'm not pcad but) good job rutnick; i'm planning a solo 200k this weekend.
it'll be my last mtn-pass ride of the season, unless i ride back to seatown on sunday. |

I think Rutnick is being a silly bike weenie pinhead and you should all post in this thread, PM him, report him to the mods, spam him and generally make fun of him for the rest of the week.
200km. Oh man, that's classic. The only people who should be riding 200km are UCI guys in a pro tour stage who get paid to do it. Period. At least it only takes them about 5 hours. How long does it take you Freds? A day and a half? Actually 200km is about 125 miles, and I've ridden 112, so I'm as big of a moron as some of you. Almost. |
^^^^ you dont get paid?
later. |
I'll have to come clean and confess to riding a 128 mile solo @ 17.4mph in early September. I was going thru a "brevet curious stage". Didn't know I was a moron, but it all makes sense now.

Classic.
|
This one time, I rode one hundred and two miles.
|
Ha..125 mi. You need to HTFU. I Once rode 126 mi.

Incorrect. Longest rides are typically 112 miles. I'm reasonably sure that's less that 200 'K's. Even that 112 miles pushes the envelope of Velo Idiocy. I do it couple of times each year.
|
Like I said, intervals... Miles can be had by any schuck who can hang on a bike. Now, intervals will make you something special...

Actually, it was 130 but we rounded to 200k. |

wrong. Intervals are for people that have nothing better to do. If I want to hurt, I don't need intervals to do it. |

Why 112?
That's how it works out. I can't explain the complexities of Pcad Cycling Zen to every dopey Fred on BF. |
