Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If I am not mistaken she used soymilk to rinse her mouth after brushing!

Flossing while biking

Bikes: Trek 1000, two mtbs and working on a fixie for commuting.

At some rate, teeth no longer become important either for a lack of them.

I usually eat breakfast on the saddle.

I believe the carton she had was soy "beverage". I'm surprised she didn't figure out how to take a shower while riding. At least she remembered to signal for her left turn while she was reading the newspaper.

Great. Everything I hate about motorists... in a cyclist.

Bikes: two wheeled ones

Let me know when she starts doing no-handed seated trackstands at the stop signs instead of running them, then I'll really be impressed.

Still a lot longer than I can ride without hands. The 90* turns always get me, other than that I'm ok. I've learned to ride speed bumps with no hands, but I don't trust myself enough for 90* turns yet.

soy milk(beverage) in the bottle.. yeah.. have you ever seen what that does when it's left out too long? I have, my kids drink that and when a bottle comes up missing we have to find it and find it fast because it's not a pretty site. Sad thing is she probably does put it in her bottle.

She could have done all that at home and ridden faster, and probably gotten where she was going at about the same time. I suppose it would help if you were extremely forgetful (Oh crap I forgot to eat breakfast, brush my teeth, or read a newspaper, ooh look, it's all in my bag ready to go!!). Good luck with that on most of the lumpy roads around where I live.

Very clever film - I doubt that's her normal routine though.

Fair play for the effort and the skill of riding like that.

Bikes: Some bikes. Hell, they're all the same, ain't they?

I believe that there is a limited amount of energy in the world available for possessing skills. This girl's ability to ride no-handed must be what totally sucked away any possible ability for me to do the same (after thirty years, I still can't ride no-handed).

*edit* Love the ending.

she has better blance than i do. i'd never do an entire commute with no hands, then again i have red lights and stop signs that i stop at. oh and its nice to brake every now and then. i can make turns with no hands, but i've never tried to put my backpack in front to get something.

imo eatting a banna on the bike saves time, but eating ceral doesn't save time.

The whole thing is done tongue in cheek. She happened to have a camera guy in her bedroom when she woke up? I'm sure she doesn't do that for real - why would you? But she does show amazing balance!

She was going to Humboldt. That should explain the soy beverage and lack of shower.

Actually, yeah, I watched it (mostly). There was a nice gag where she rides by the paperboy, calls out to him, and he goes, "Hey, Sara!" and throws her the day's newspaper.

Basically, everything that people usually do at the bathroom sink and breakfast table, she did while riding no-handed.

I cracked up at her failure to deliver the punch line with a straight face.
