Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

boto's pics make me yearn for a decent macro lens...

Nice attention to detail on the pair of Seikos. Synchronized to the second.

After the ride they had more pozole, Fillipino style menudo, a stew with shrimp, scallops, squid, and quail eggs, Adobo chicken with rice, vegetables, fruit salad, and custard cups. Sadly, no empanadas this time. The woman who makes the empanadas was out of town.
Here is a shot on the old Ridge Route. Beautiful, car free roads.

That isn't a watch. It's a chronometer. If you don't know the difference...

a macro lens is unnecessary. those were taken with simple point and shoot cameras.

I may be mistaken but if it is a chronometer isn't it also being a watch a given (when we are talking about wrist wearable chronometers)?

all chronometers are watches, not all watches are chronometers.

...yes...I'd agree with that...

My point (which was not really a point at all but just a weak way to perpetuate a meaningless thread) was that the image shown would be considered a chronometer and not a watch (as claimed).

Although it was also a watch, in my experience, when talking about time pieces, if something is termed a 'chronometer' one assumes it is also a watch.

Please 'incorrect' me if I am wrong.

Anyone know what time it is?

...oh that's right. It's winter time.

Can I get a big smiley of a guy flipping the bird that I can have automatically appended to all of my posts until spring?

k-thx!

Um, let's see. My Concord was given to me as a wedding/birthday gift from my beautiful wife. Concords have been around for a while; founded in 1908. Harry S. Truman presented both Churchill and Stalin with Concord clocks on the occasion of the Potsdam Peace Conference. Mine is a Saratoga and has a simple, clean looking face which I prefer.

My other passion. One of the reasons I got back into cycling after several years off was to help stay in shape for the drumming. Sonor drums, quality from Germany. Axis direct drive pedals, the Cervelo's as they are the fastest.

Rehearsal studio room normal

2am post-gig dump everything back into room to setup later.
