Nice save, Billy. That could have been disastrous.

I'm getting ready to put on pajamas and plop down on the couch for a night in front of the television. Haven't done this in weeks. Am really looking forward to a lazy night of doing nothing. :D I hope I can stay awake long enough to actually watch an entire show :o

Because they contain sedatives.

BillyD 01-22-09 07:40 PM

Hey Love, you still awake? I just finished dinner, now back to the Mac for an hour b4 bed.

I saw a cool bike tonight at a shop that I've previously never visited.

A 2009 Cervelo S2 with Dura-Ace 7900. In red/black.

Isn't that what Old Man Cad is waiting for?

Sorry, Billy. I took that cold medicine and it knocked me out pretty quickly. Am feeling more rested this morning, though, so it's not all bad. So much for my evening on the couch watching television.

I don't take cold medicine...yet I am naturally dopey and tired. I think it's in the water, put there by "THEM", probably at night using black helicopters.

Shhh...We don't want "them" to know we're on to their evil plan.

The Corporation is the one who tapers with the water supplies.

I may have a cold, but there are a few things in this world that I am rarely too sick to do. Here's one of them.

How's everybody doing? I had work yesterday for a change so I wasn't on BF all day. I have a stool in front of my computer at work and my butt was hurting from sitting on it all day on Wednesday and Thursday as if I had done back to back centuries.
Today a friend is having his 50th birthday century and a party after but it's raining a bit right now. I know, HTFU, what's a little rain, you SoCal wussy?
If the bike's gonna get filthy I'd like to take the old one, but the tires are suspect. Been meaning to get the touring bike ready for this with fenders, etc., but I put it off. I better go check one of the damn things and get ready.

Morning, John. What is work? And why is it taking the place of BF? ;)

What are the temps like is SoCal right now? It is 13 here with an expected high of 16 today. I'm gonna say, get out in the rain and ride. Have fun!

I'm a mechanic at a new car dealer. We get paid piece work so, no work, no money.
It's supposed to get to 60 today, not very cold but I don't enjoy long road rides in the rain. It's raining harder now and decision time is 15 minutes away.
I prefer off road and I know a place that is all sandstone so no mud. All I have to do is sell some friends on the idea. The birthday boy doesn't have a mountain bike, though.

I was picking on you, John. Of course you need to work. How else will you be able to pay for cycling gear?

Get out and ride. No excuses. :p

Oh, cmon. Riding in the rain isn't that bad if it isn't cold out.

No response from John . . . . . I fear the worst. :(

Anyway, I'm on my way to the gym . . . it's nice and comfy in there.

big john 01-24-09 02:39 PM

Well, I went but cut it short. Six of us did only 30 miles and it rained the whole time. Don't know how far the others went, I'll find out later at the party. The drivers were pretty cool with only a few horns. I just don't enjoy it when it's a soaking rain. Can't see, brakes don't work, and the wet diaper effect.
I'm dry and warm now, and I took the old bike, so a good day.
