Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My guess is that those offended by joking references to the Tenerife plane crash 31 years ago (a few hundred victims from all over Europe three decades ago) are outnumbered by those offended by your stupid NY plane crash reference (3,000 victims in the largest city in the US a scant 7 years ago) by about a million to one. How do you say idiot in French? Perhaps that's the only way to express it to you. Canuck breath.

but that's funny! c'mon get on the wagon and lets talk about antisemitism, ethnic cleansing, or whatever else can be discussed as morally unethical. god I love canadians, they think they're better than our mexican neighbors, but wow they are so wrong, mexicans actually have good food!

So its OK to make light of the death of hundreds of innocent people as long as most of them weren't American? What an ass.

point well taken... but you have to realize that people might be offended by your Tenerife reference as well. Perhaps a simple, "maybe that was in bad taste" from you will put this discussion to an end.

Have we hit up the 'surfing lessons' photos yet? Too lazy to read this thread from the top.

FWIW: if you decide to "take some surfing lessons" try to dress down. Leave the Quicksilver rash guard at your motel. Nothing screams FRED/KOOK like a major label top worn by an untanned noob at a surf spot.

More to the point: try not to get carried away with your gear. A bare chest, shorts and flipflops, shades are quite enuf.

A kook dresses like Lance at Tenerife beach and would also be photographed (like Lance) standing on his board, on sand, with an 'instructor' showing him where his feet go....or worse...."um.., well Lance, aim the pointy end at the beach when you get up on a wave."

Tell me you know Lance 'actually can surf' and I say: enuf Fanboy...

I cant believe that I get flagged by the moderators for "trolling" and a worthless thread like this can go on for 5 pages.

Only 4 people died in the San Diego crash. Is it OK to make fun of that?
