Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Part of me wants to see Armstrong win, part of me wants to see Contador destroy him in the mountains....maybe we'll get both ?
I feel exactly the same way. I think LA did a lot FOR the sport (at least in US) but he is also IMO a very selfish rider. However I think for anyone with even half of his success requires that mentality. (Oh, My bet is that AC's famed weight-weenie status will inspire LA to come into the TDF at his lightest weight ever)

Personally, I am hoping Contador leaves Astana so that you can see the two of them battle it out in the open rather than Lance decoying feigned support for AC and then surprising AC in a mountain stage (under the guise of "protecting" AC during a breakaway) BTW I sure hope there are a few other riders who can challenge Astana.

I will post that question as to WHO those riders are, in a new thread

Comfort + Efficiency = Performance
Say it 100 times before going to bed. Lance does.

This is why I bought a custom built bike and my back is a lot happier.

Guys, when people here are making fun of Lance's riding position, you gotta realize it's all tongue in cheek.

And it looks like his knee would be well behind the pedal spindle as well (when crank is in forward position).

We'd all be in the littlest ring we could find.
Tenerife's a great place to ride. I had a friend that lived there who I went to visit in 2002 so I borrowed her cousin's extra road bike and he took me around for a few rides. The climbs were really challenging for me being that I don't do climbs like that with any kind of regularity. The weather was great though, lower 70s and sunny for my entire stay.

Yeah, and the folks he's wearing the "all black look" for are "getting a lot tired" of having/dealing with CANCER to!
Do you know even know why he's wearing that black kit and or what the words "Livestrong" on the sides mean**********?
1000s and 1000s and 10s of thousands of people get a moment of strength every time they see Lance wearing that "all black look" including my best friends wife, my 2 cousins and one of my riding buddies along with a couple great guys and excellent riders on this forum who suffer from that wretched illness.

I think the "all black look" is about a bit more than "hey look at me"...don'tcha think
