Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Geez you guys overthink everything. Astana used SRAM last year too. Lance probably has no intention of "racing for second", but if he doesn't win, he has an out, after all he said the whole time he was just there to support Contador...

Lance has lower back problems. Kinda hard to argue with his success.

I know that this is just a trolling thread, but it still cracks me up to read comments from a bunch of BF shut in's trying to tell one of the best riding of our time how to set his bike up.

how to subscribe to his twitter? I need to know everything going on in his life daily in eight words or less.

Lance should set up his fit by looking at pics of the pros, that's the real way to do it.

Maybe if you knew more about cycling than how to ride without spacers you wouldn't have been rejected. I think I'll trust Lance and his team of engineers do determine where his stem needs to be over your sheep mentality following the 'flip it' doctrine.

Incorrect.

The real way to do it is to post a thread on the BF Road Forum called "Check out my position."

I will say that Lance Armstrong has a shown a willingness to subject his body to pain that is second to none. It wouldn't surprise me to see him do very well this year.

"Fred" is a masculine name, and is the diminutive of "Alfred" in the Old English or "Frederick" in the Old German. Using this masculine name with purportedly derogatory intent to disparage others, a phenomenon unknown outside a minority of posters on BF.net, is at best nonsensical, and at the very least, ghey.

On the other hand, Lance is a complete **** for not wearing Astana gear.

Not sure he's allowed to until he's "officially" with the team.

Why would he be using DA? He's racing for Astana. A team that utilizes Sram components...

I'd like nothing more than to see another Lemond/Hinault-type TDF. The sport could use a good dose of hyper-competitiveness and back stabbing.

Paging though the pictures, it's nice to see all those 32 spoke training wheels. Who would've thunk it. From reading around here, you'd think we all train on Zipps or something.

how can you feel bad for alberto? no one seems to point this out, but lance coming back is great for alberto because he gets to show the world he can beat lance. some will argue he couldn't beat 2005 lance, but he's going to beat lance in TdF and then he can say, I BEAT LANCE. bonus for his palmolives.

Sorry...but the ultimate in "Fredness" is giving a crap how many spacers someone uses on their bike.
