Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Calves > quads...looks wise. Nothing like well defined calves with lots of striation.

All of them in the original illustration.

Unfortunately, that does not mean I'm fast, or even slim for that matter.

So how big are everyone's thighs? (circumference)

My thunder thighs are 23" at the thickest part close to the glutes. 5'9/150lbs.

I have had two quads severed in half before. what do i win ?

yes it was in a bike race.

doctor couldn't find the top half until he reached in under the skin and
dragged them back down with forceps.

doncha know, when you sever the quads, they want to retreat all the way to your hip ?

the more you know....

they do sew together nicely, with a permanent scar band and divot
on the leg, and it can end your pro racing chances, so i don't recommend it to just anyone

oh yeah and a lifetime of patella issues, because the ligaments across the patella don't
align the same anymore, so certain power outputs make the patella grind in it's groove.
for me, it is either ride 'super easy' or 'super hard'....in-between hurts

That probably hurt a good bit. Yeek.

I saw a guy tear a pectoral in the gym one time. It just sucked itself all the way into his shoulder/arm area. Disturbing.

Damn this thread is so not safe for work. Whenever I'm slacking off by looking at pictures of road rash, quads, shorts, jersey tan, etc. I'm really paranoid.

My quads make that quad in your picture look like they are from a 10 year old.
