A year later and my legs still get sore...

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That old saying comes into mind "No Pain No Gain" or your not working hard enough.

Not that my legs are strong, they are just stronger than my lungs. My lungs gives out before my legs do. Once my cardio fitness improves, then it will probably be my legs that fail.

More protein and glutamine, take a recovery drink within 30 mins of stopping.

actually seems like a reasonable question. I started cycling 1 1/2 years ago after a decade long layoff, but didn't really get serious again until this past summer. I was quite surprised to get sore legs. I've done some brutal rides in the past without ever getting sore. I'm hoping it is nutrition.

yes I haven't paid attention to my nutrition. That is my goal this year to get more sleep and eat correctly. I put in the miles last year but skipped the nutrition/sleep thing.
