Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Positive purchase experience

Just wanted to take a minute to relate a very positive purchase experience w/ Art's Cyclery in San Luis Obispo, CA.

They have excellent prices and the customer service I got was first rate. I bought my 08 P2C from them (they are a certified Cervelo dealer). I had a minor issue with the bike (not their fault) and their internet sales rep, Jon, bent over backwards to make me happy. I actually had to stop him from doing too much. Jon was also very helpful in working with me to do a stem swap.

One of the nice things about Art's is that all merchandise include a pre-paid UPS return shipping label. So, if you aren't happy for any reason, you can 't just slap the label on the shipping box and hand it to the UPS driver. I recommend giving them a shot at your business.

* This post is not intended as a solicitation; I am not connected with Art's Cyclery in any capacity beyond being a satisfied customer. *

I've always had good expereinces with BF members.
Outside of that (and a recent warranty-thing with Saris) I haven't done much business that I was more-than-happy with.

We should have a forum that gives good (and bad) experiences with LBS. I guess there could be a section in the regional forums but where ever it is I'm sure it would be a help to members here.
