Correct usage of the term "Schwag"
Can we please stop using "Schwag" or "Swag" in conjunction with purchasing. By definition schwag consists of free goods given away to workers, employees, or people at trade shows etc. To clarify:
One does not "buy" schwag one receives schwag from another person or entity such as a shop or company.
please make a note of this.

Let's consult the authorities...I think the first definition is the one that should apply.

swag would be the proper term, but the 'ch' does it make it look more prestigious
the original word is 'swagger', which means to carry ones self in an arrogant manner, according to the dictionary it's from the 16th century, 'swag' is the ebonics version which simply means how one presents themselves, it can be positive or negative, this term started popping up in hip-hop music just a couple of years ago, and i suppose 'schwag' is the upper/middle class BF ebonics version referring to high-end bike parts, personally i don't know about when this word started being used here
nevertheless, i guess everyone is cool enough for ebonics, other than the OP who is lame enough to complain about the grammatical errancies, lol

BF has its own rules pal. Here Bike Schwag is Schwag whether you buy it or not. If you don't like it there's nothing I can do for you. As a matter of fact, if this aggravates you I would consider that a valuable Free Bonus. If it makes you feel any better, the Aggravation Bonus does sort of agree with your outmoded Schwag definition.
But I will presume you remain aggravated. That ROCKS.

Did I prompt this?
pcad is more influential than I thought, polluting the most widely spoken language in the world.
Sorry about the shameful promotion of my thread

BF English does not always jibe with standard English. There's a lot of jive around here.
