Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Today I bought a Giant Rapid 3 flatbar road bike, along with a rack and fenders for it... to haul groceries. Oh, and also some Zipp 404 Carbon Clinchers. wtf have I done??

The zipps are for my BH... not the Giant.

Any reason you didn't align the labels to the valves? At first I thought you did a 90 degree offset on purpose but then saw the back tire and realized you didn't.

Anyone else think 'Detonator' might not be a good name for tires?

Warranty Replacement.

I was having some shifting problems so I stopped by my LBS to let them take a look at it. They found that the pulley cage spring (if thats what its called) broke on my RD. I didn't buy the RD from my LBS, but Walter (store owner and great guy) sent it off for replacement.

+1, though for some reason, I think I have read this same statement before about 3 years ago.

Got a bag full of goodies at the LBS - tires, cables, chain, bar tape, lube and a shiny H20 holder.

I'm taking the plunge. I can't stand how cycling shorts look, but I get the benefits.. I'll learn to deal with it I suppose.
