Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah I bought into the hype from around the internet haha. Plus they were more affordable than HED Belgiums. I built them up myself (first time). They're 28h and 3x all around. I loved the way they rode when I was testing it on my previous bike as well. A little "heavy" at around 1850g but whatever, I built them to be durable (riding across country this summer) and comfortable! Thus the Roubaix as well.

Bummer on the weather. I do have a bunch of friends in the Twin Cities and see their pictures of the snow/ice all the time...I visited a month ago and I'll be back in the beginning of June! Loved MPLS in the summer when I visited last year.

The heavyweight winter jersey is awesome for all but approaching freezing temps. The rest...just okay in my experience, and I have a couple.

I just got my Skratch Labs "Feed Zone Portables" book tonight with extra goodies in the box.

With a message from Allen Lim:

Found this when I unwrapped the book:

It's really great to see a small company trying to help others: "Mountain2Mountain" and "Strength in Numbers".

And four freebies:

I went looking for the cheapest bike my LBS had so I could ride around with my kids and not use my road bike.. I ended up with this. After an hour riding around the park with my 8 year old I think I may want to get back into more OFF-road biking.

Same here, the free stuff and note card made my day, was also out of drink mix so it was the perfect deal. Their first book is great too.
