Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ah gotcha, well I know that there is little difference between 7900 and 9000 left crank and would assume the same for 6700 vs 6800 other than aesthetics. I hope to try first ride tomorrow, I know you have a while to wait but good luck!

Probably, but thats ok.

In addition to co2 and a second chuck so I don't have to keep swapping from bike to bike, I bought these (life needs more humping bunny socks - figured this was a better option than poorly made water bottle):

On the subject of water bottles, does anyone have any good recommendations for a non insulated bottle? I have podium big chill 25oz bottles for summer, but now that the summer is winding down, I'd like something smaller and non insulated.

I love my regular Podiums, the valves on the Camelbacs are just too good to pass up.

Sweet! I didn't want the water bottle (too small ... I know ... I know, the rules...)

Those sock will be a bigger hit than my "TATAs" socks with the boobs on them

If you prefer the jet valve camelbak makes non-insulated bottles....here is 21oz non-insulated for 9:50 shipped

Sounds like I should stick with camelbak then.

No love for the specialized hydroflow or elite bottles?

I shouldn't be buying anything beyond consumables, but an excellent deal was presented.

Garneau Diamond-Red, two long sleeve A4 Marathon wicking shirts, and a test pair of Aerotech designs Men's pro bike shorts; very inexpensive and surprisingly comfortable.

Oof.. Don't remind me! Hopefully my last big purchase of the year regarding bike gear. Really don't mind paying a premium for gear if its going to last several seasons. And yes @bianchi10, those pro team shorts would look awesome.. Don't tempt me

I think this is calling your name!!! You said it yourself, "I dont mind paying a premium if I know its going to last several seasons." This would COMPLETE your set. as of now, its just getting you by. Come on, its a PAUL SMITH edition, so what if its $434!
