Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

FSA Metropolis bars in black for my KHS bike. It's been back and forth between MTB and road-going hybrid kid-hauler, but I'm about to make it into a permanent full-time utility/kid hauler bike.

Until it goes back to being a MTB again.

nah I don't think so. I've ridden a few trails and stuff and just can't get into it. It gets way more use as a road-going bike.

Plus it will finally give me a chance to get rid of the POS creaking 25.4 adjustable Nashbar stem (used with the handlebar that originally came on the bike) and use a regular 100mm 7° 31.8 stem I've had on the shelf for several months now. I got that for the road bike but it ended up being too long.

Exactly. There is also a little chain hook on the side of the chain tool that comes off to hold the chain while you're working on it.

Still waiting for the handlebar tape. Meanwhile, the 3T Tornova Pro, Veloflex Master tires and KMC DLC 11 chain arrived in time for Sunday's ride.

How did this thread drop off the first page?

Set of Shimano 9000 52/36 chain rings, new on ebay, delivered in less than a week from Taiwan. The question is "why did I buy them"...I know I had a reason at the time...
