Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I couldn't afford the fancy $400 pump so I got the Lezyne alloy digital drive floor pump. I'm running out of bike stuff to waste my money on, though.

I bought a pair of photo-chromatic cycling glasses. Much easier to see when the sunlight isn't bright.

Just ordered rollers, Cyclops with 5 stages of resistance. I look forward to figuring these out when the weather goes to scrap and it's dark most of the time I'm not at work.

I was into car tuning in my teens and 20s and i gotta say that cycling upgrades is more sneaky and addictive than what i experienced with car tuning. Cycling upgrades are relatively cheap compared to a compressor, a turbo or new set of top notch alloy wheels. So yeah, i find myself getting a new cycling upgrade every month now, where for car parts i had to save for a few years sometimes.

Last purchase - a large 20 bucks cooling water bottle. Almost got those carbon bottle cages too !! Maybe next month

Love my feedback stand, the only thing that would put the icing on the cake would be a quick release clamp but that is not a fault of the stand.

I just got myself some of these too, loved the idea of the changeable "glass". I havent worn them outside yet but I thought they looked super cool, my wife on the other hand was glad to hear I just bought them for cycling with and not for when we're out together, pah, I thought they looked quite designer myself.

I was at the National Criterium Championship at High Point NC a couple weeks ago (spectating, not racing). Fellow was setup to take pictures of your bike. CD came in the other day. A few samples,

Power2Max Type S

Been wanting a new PM for a long time since I gave up on my very old PowerTap. Looked at Stages, Vector, and even the coming 4iiii. Decided on Power2Max because of all the good press on every bike forum around.

Yeah, I've got a tracking number!

Bought a Garmin 510 and the new speed and cadence magnetless sensors. I wanted an 510 for a while now and hope it isn't a let down.

I got an early 90's Shimano 600 Tri-Color group with 2x7 STIs, front and rear derailleur, 53/42 crankset, Rigida Wheels with matching Tri_color hubs, brakes, wheel skewers, chain and seat post. The set looked like they took it off a brand new bike with the original Continental tires on the wheels showing zero wear. All for $295.00. I love ebay sometimes! Shimano 600 Tri-Color Group
