I'll give them a good shakedown after this weekend since rain is on the menu Sunday and Monday, but so far so good. They are a bit fiddly to get aligned so they don't rub the tire on one side or the other, but I think arriving to work without a mud stripe up my backside on Monday will be the true test!

The G-One comes in 35 and 38.

I just ordered a pair of G-One Evo 35's.

Good to know - these would probably be pretty nice in a 35, though I'm really liking the 38 (and they provide a little more differentiation from the 30c S-Ones that I'll be running on a different wheelset).

I'll give you this - most places are out of the 35's including Schwalbe themselves.

Merlin has them for $43.57 but no 35's.

How is it? I'm looking for a cycling computer I can use with Strava..I have a Garmin Vivoactive at the moment, but it's not going to cut it.

I have only had 1 ride with it so far, so have not totally had a chance to use all the functions, so what I did use worked like a champ. Was a piece of cake to setup and get going. It found my Garmin sensors and heart rate monitors without issue. I moved away from Garmin connect and over to Ride with GPS, and it link right to it without any issue. I dont use Strava, but it is an option built in, so will assume it works. I was using a Garmin 810 for the last couple of years but it kept giving me issues with one thing or another, so I decided to cut my loses and try something else.

I moved all my Garmin ride data over using https://tapiriik.com/ and that worked awesome.....it allowed me to move 1200 ride entries without issue. It's not a fast process, so I just started it before I went to bed, woke up, checked it, all 1200 moved to Ride With GPS, closed my Garmin profile. :thumb:

Also, I just ordered this to go along with it...https://www.amazon.com/G-SAVR-Lanyar...dp/B00XI4X59I/

Unfortunately (or fortunately) the rain was not nearly as bad as originally forecast. The ground was totally dry this morning, so my SKS Raceblade Pros were totally useless on my commute. I did have some issues with them in the at first as they started to rub a few times after hitting a bump or two. Once I got to work I gave them a quick adjustment with my allen wrench, and they were perfect on the return home. I did find a couple of puddles to splash through, which I remained totally dry, but perhaps not quite the shakedown test I was planning!

Ordered the Campagnolo Zonda C17 Wheelset. Should arrive in a couple of days. Still winter here in Canada but looking forward to riding on them as soon as possible!

Nice. these seem like a really popular choice. Perhaps I aught to pick up a set as a backup :)

Yup! From what I am reading, any lighter becomes exponentially more expensive (rate of diminishing returns). These wheels are a good weight (1540g), engage nicely, and have good power transfer (relatively stiff).

PatrickGSR94 03-08-17 11:38 AM

lol now you can tell everyone you have a Zonda... even though it's not the Pagani hypercar type. :P

Make sure that the valve is FULLY CLOSED before screwing on the CO2 cartridge....
Otherwise you look really stupid and need a second cartridge.:innocent:

Installed my wheels. Will need to tweak the breaks and gears but man they spin quietly.

Picked up a thermal LS Sugoi jersey over at STP for 23 bucks - not a bad deal.
