Another thread, just like the podium girls thread the other day, that is filling up faster than I can read it. Besides bicycles and bike gear, I believe this pretty much defines the interests of BF Road members. (appypollyloggies to the femmes on this board). I rarely drink beer, but post-ride will enjoy an IPA now and again. Or a good strong Porter. Big fan of Boulder based Twisted Pine's HoppyBoy, which I can get on tap up here at the Sundance Lodge.

Homebrew. I'm going to brew up a post-ride porch beer for the rides I'm going to lead this spring and summer. Something lightly hopped and refreshing. I don't want double IPAs after a ride.

You may enjoy a Radler then. I find them nasty. It's a lager mixed with lemonade.

I do like my micro-brews. And some tasty European beers.
But for some reason I really like drinking Rolling Rock.

This is my favorite. I toured the brewery when I was living in the West Bank. It's fairly widely available at any establishment owned by Christian Arabs in Israel/Palestine. I think the guy who owns the company said you can get it in Boston...anyone know? I'd probably make a pilgrimage if it was true.

Beer is my weakness. I obsess over it. But in a good way.
My standby is Northcoast Brewing Old Rasputin RIS, followed by their Old Stock Ale. I also love the Flying Dog brews and Moylan's Imperial Stout, though it hasn't been around for a while. On Friday nights I treat myself to a Belgian. Making frequent appearances are Malheur 12. I just had the Scaldis Refermentis.

i like the odd Leffe in the late year. ordinarily i love the bottled London Pride. not too many people i know enjoy this stuff, but i swear by it. Being from Africa, i have to plug some of my favourite stuff..Kenyan Pilsner and Tusker malt Lager. Castle milk Stout was also nice when one could not find a traditional guinness..don't know if they still make it now?
and Botto..i have to agree with our comment about Shiner yuck. that stuff is truly poor. was subjected to some when visiting a mate in texas...

The first few of these I really felt were much ado about nothing. However, at one point I had one that had warmed up to a temp that most people wouldn't drink it. Probably 60-65 degrees F. Surprisingly enough, at this temp it has a pretty nice flavor profile. It's still a relatively 'light' beer, but there is a good tasting beer hidden in there.
If I go to a restaurant where this is my best option, I'll order a Fat Tire when I first get there, make sure it's not in a frosted glass (this goes for any beer), and then let it warm up until my dinner shows up. By that time it'll probably be worth drinking. I had one at a friends house that I stuck in the microwave for about 15 seconds. Either approach works.
