What is that something like 58 posts in response to your own thread? That has to account for the vast majority of 4 pages. How do you find time to ride?

He's trying to get to 30K posts by the end of March.

How's the winter been? I am coming out for Trans Iowa 320 mile Ultra Race on gravel, B- roads, dirt etc -- nothing paved I hear. What is the typical weather first week of May?

What do I recieve for #500? Is 500 posts a wood gift? I'm getting mr.pcad a gold watch.

Getting wood is free -- no minimum purchase or minimum posts required :thumb:

TEAMWORK PAYS!

superdex 03-05-09 01:51 PM

yup, I read all 8+ pages. Happy to be here, hope I can help the team.

Did someone say Roubaix?

patentcad 03-05-09 01:56 PM

Quietly, in an innocent and legitimate appearing thread purporting to be about Cervelos, Cannondales, and Freds, the Foosterization of Road Cycling had begun.

They never knew what hit them.

Hope for dry weather. I heard about a guy from my town that trainied all winter to ride this and it rained so hard before and during the race that the roads turned to a quagmire and the race was called by 1 PM the first day because no one made it to the first checkpoint in the allotted time. Most hadn't even gotten half way and had to carry their bikes just to get anywhere. Clay roads and water don't mix well.
Good luck!

Has been a pretty cold winter. The first thing to expect will likely be a fair amount of wind. almost always spring is windy here. Temps should be pretty nice, I'd guess probably in the 60s. Spring can be pretty wet though.

OK, my first ride of 2009 did not go well! At mile 5.9, I hit a piece of glass and flatted. Then while pumping up my spare tube, I broke off the top of the presta valve at about 100 PSI. The valve was open so I have ZERO idea how the tube stayed up...but it got me home. Going to buy two new tubes and hope for better luck tomorrow. Plus the winds are only supposed to be about 10MPH tomorrow.

There is surprising Zen in Foo.
