That's my new Fred term du jour. That's what happens when a company takes a perfectly good race bike, like the Cannondale Six13, and they dumb it down for the Freds. You know, world class race bike, let's make it more Fred-friendly so the Freds can reach the friggin handlebars. Cervelo did it with the R3 when they made the RS. It renders those models untouchable for any self respecting (or Self Loathing) Road Nazi.

OK, let's think this through for a moment. If you are happy with your purchase everybody would appear to be very happy. The customer. The LBS. The manufacturer. The industry. God. The Sisters of the Holy Order of Dura Achee. Mr. Zipp. Uncle Pcad. botto. RW. Everybody except for the collection of staggering idiots here that like to bash one bicycle brand or another. I mean, really, what could be possibly more stupid than that?

I never bashed specific brands at all. I bashed the dumbing down of perfectly good racing bikes to fit the Fred market. Which is what I would do if I were Cdale, Cervelo or Trek. Of course. But that doesn't mean I can't flame them for it on BF. Or that all of you can't flame me for being a massive hypocrite ahole. What's your point?

If you examine the background you can clearly see that Bailey is "Road Cycling" in this photo.

I hate those big trucks when we are "Road Cycling".

Here we are dropping Pcad while "Road Cycling"

No, but listening to him I can see why you might think so.

It was very nice here today. It's amazing how much faster you ride when it's 40ºF with light wind vs. 24ºF with 20 mph winds. The snow is melting fast.
