During the week any time is fine really especially in the winter, but once the temperatures go up the weekends are too congested to ride in peace. I've ridden through that park at all sorts of hours but loved it on those summer night rides at 2am with friends.

If you want to ride Central Park at night, just show up for the Spring Series races in early March the first weekend of Night of the Living Dead (Daylight Savings) Time.

Having said that, on the weekends, it's pretty good until about 9:00AM. Weekdays are like weekends during non rush-hour hours. Basically, CP is crowded, which is why I don't ride there

10PM and later is fine. The park closes at 1 AM. Watch out for raccoons crossing the road.
