My current thing is to ride the trainer to the old Kansas "Leftoverature" album. Skip the #1 song - "Carry On Our Wayward Son" - and the rest is a great combo of slow and melodic for warmup/spinning and hard driving for mashing/sprinting. 38 minutes and I'm sweating like a pig. Good morning workout when there's no time for the real thing.
I guess it kind of dates me too.

No seriously. HAPPY2bHARDCORE, chapter four, continuosly mixed by Anabolic Frolic
140 beats per minute but it has a lot of, sub beats I guess you'd call em, that make for a wide range of speeds as well as lows that allow for the right respits then fade back into the hard stuff but no actual breaks.

I've never owned a pair of headphones so I listen to my stereo before I leave so the last song gets stuck in my head.

I don't use earphones on the road ever but songs do get stuck in my head on the road.
my faves to get stuck or on the trainer:
Pogo- System of a Down (or a whole cd on the trainer)
Spit it Out- Slipknot (ditto on the cd/trainer)
Tie Me Down- Static X (Machine Cd on the trainer)
Got the Life- Korn (Follow the Leader on the trainer)
anything to get the blood pumping;
At The Drive In, Deftones, Mr. Bungle
Black Flag, Minor Threat, Fugazi, etc.
cool down to something mellow like;
Air, A Perfect Circle, Flaming Lips, whatever...
anybody actually break into song on the road?

Well, I don't listen to music when on the bike, but there is some that run through my head when I am riding:
1. "You got another thing coming" on "Screaming for Vengence" by Judas Priest
2. "Heavy Duty" on "Heavy Duty" by Judas Priest
3. "Pain Killer" on "Pain Killer" by Judas Priest (especially on the climbs
)
4. "Carry on my way wayward son" on "Greatest Hits" by Kansas
5. "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" on "Powerslave" by Iron Maiden
6. "FLIGHT OF ICARUS" on "Piece of Mind" by Iron Maiden
7. "Infinite Dreams" on "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son" by Iron Maiden
Just about anything by Stix, Rush, Disturbed, Metallica, Ozzy, Van Halen, and many more.
