Attachment 172394(click pic)close up of road out to Baldy Village
Attachment 172395Shot showing more of surrounding area This is a ride I do from the house. It was almost a perfect day, just a little warm, but not bad. Forecast for tomorrow night is snow to be on the higher peaks. Looks like summer is trying to leave and winter is knocking on the door. :50: |

Some pics from Ellijay, GA vacation. *Disclaimer* - this was from a walk. I just wish I had my bike with me.

Ooo, I love this thread! And now I have a couple to contribute. Just humble Georgia country roads.

Looks like a awfully narrow road. Does it handle two-way traffic?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/embreyart/4978428092/ Sucks, FLickr doesn't allow you to link directly to forums anymore...Started this a couple months back. I guess an attemtp to force people to visit the site? I have lots of pics there that can no longer be linked:( |
Flickr makes it EASIER to link photos in this forum.
Look! photo page --> share this --> grab HTML/BB Code. Get the BB code for the photo size you like (make sure you click BBcode) paste in "go advanced" Looks like this http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4152/...3b554d3b_z.jpg tricia commuter 1 by ccorlew, on Flickr |

Couple pic looking down on GRR that probably not many riders have. Pictures that were sent to me by Hillbasher on his trip to the ski lifts. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2690/...694_z.jpg?zz=1 GRR2 by gulpxtreme, on Flickr http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2714/...d3a_z.jpg?zz=1 GRR1 by gulpxtreme, on Flickr |

Looks more like GMR than GRR. On GRR there is no place where the road switchbacks up where you could get that picture. Do you know where this picture was taken? And it is a very nice shot, I agree.:50:
I'm not sure if that pic is from the lower or upper portion of GMR -- though I'd be willing to bet I'd recognize it in a heartbeat if I were ever to ride it again. edit: and that pic was taken by bf member "The Fixer" -- though I think he's changed his username since. |

Tell me if these shots are not from the same view as the one you posted. Looks close to me.And I think yours in better. The fog and clouds make the shot. :50:

All that I can say is that I wish I made it out here earlier. No biggie though -- I'll just enjoy the heck out of it from here on out. |
