killa - Beautiful, where is that?

Thanks HG, its a place in the border regions in Northumberland, UK. Its just a few miles from the village where we live. The exact spot is the A68, just between Harshaw and West Woodburn. The A68 is about 150m long and stretches from North Yorkshire all the way to Scotland. I'm originally from Yorkshire. Lived in London for years. Moved here in 2010, which rekindled my passion for cycling after a few years on motorbikes. The views are spectacular all round. Its Hadrians Wall country! Most of the main roads in this region date back from Roman times.

Not yet, but its on the cards. Me and brother-in-law are doing that, followed by the London to Paris. Plan is to be fit enough to do it by spring 2014! and at the end of 2014 we're trekking up Kilimanjaro............ Both in aid of The Meningitis Charity. Not that I'm not good already, been a cyclist of some sort all my life :)

Note the beautiful southern Oregon smoke. Usually there is ZERO haze about. Actually saw some ash float by on my morning ride. |

I miss the mountains of San Jose and Northern California, but living in South Florida has its advantages as well. These are a few I took Friday while riding along US1 in the Florida Keys.

There are a couple of bicycles in there, but that's not too bad! This is from the Bike MS Willamette Valley a week and a half ago. It was a pretty amazing weekend. 150 miles out in the country and woods of western Oregon. |
