very cool, where did you start and end up?
did you experience elevation sickness at all, if not how did you prepare for it? I'm considering this one in the near future along with a 3 day hike to the Everest base camp

love stuff like this, some of you have amazing places to ride, NJ isn't bad but not always easy to find a car-less or people-less local.
Here's a shot few years back at the Redrock reservation outside of Vegas, a must ride if you get out there http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=416219 |

Since my photo, many pages ago, started off this thread, I feel the need to contribute to it on occasion. This photo, from December 17, shows Big Rock Drive, above the Pacific Coast Highway, in Malibu, California. The view – I was on my way down – looks out across Santa Monica Bay, with the Palos Verdes Peninsula rising in the distance. The mountains on the upper right are part of Catalina Island. The road itself rises several hundred feet from the coast, with stretches of pavement, like this one tilting above a 12% grade. It's such a pain living in Southern California in the latter days of December, because there's no excuse, like rain or snow, for not going for a ride. |
