Actually this is the road behind, after the steepest climb I've ever done. I walked up part of it. :-( Took this just before descending, which was crazy fast. I thought I was gonna burn out my rear brakes. Yep, baby steps. The location is Coleman Valley Road on the Sonoma County coast in Northern California.

Yep, did that on century ride. I was looking forward to a nice downhill to the coast. Steep with cattle grates. My hands/wrist were about to give out. Beautiful scenery up there. Would have been empty except for a wedding at the top...

Boyne City. I grew up in Petoskey area and travelled these back roads. This one is on the backside of the old abandoned '60s ski resort "Walloon Hills" (now Challenge Mt).

Oh wow, you're way up there! I've done a little snowboarding up at Boyne Mountain but that was ages ago. I bet riding up there is absolutely gorgeous!
