Why do Cervelos suck?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I saw a Cervelo for the first time on Thursday and I wasn't so impressed. They look so much cooler online.

Be careful with that image Dr P. You post that thing in the Tri forum people may short out keyboards with a river of drool.

Even in a stiff crossbreeze? Looks like you could strap that thing to a boat and go sailing!

Nope, it's quite well-behaved in crosswinds. The people who think Ksyriums are unstable in a crosswind might not think so, but that might just be because I'm capable of holding a line.

Doc,

Is this your bike? And is that saddle set on backwards. As a joke or that's how you ride it?

Of course it doesn't shimmy in a picture. Geez. Do you think we're stupid? Post a video of it sitting there, then we'll see what shimmies.

A bad fit...A poorly adjusted headset/fork. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

My S2 doesn't shimmy on 40+ mph descents in races, in a crosswind. By far the most solid bike I've ever ridden. Very stable @ speed and even in windy conditions.

For the same reason a Trek hybrid can beat a 9000.00$ Colango.

Hopefully this isn't a stupid question but I've seen those tires on a couple of bikes. What is the benefit to them being so fat? O_o
