Get your bike together and come ride Jeso or Fernleigh this weekend.

I have a friend who could also be interested in that, so could be a good plan! Might even put the bike together tonight and get it operational again. Which do you reconmend riding?

Jeso is an in and out, goes nowhere easy ride. If you're not fond of using your collarbone for a few months, you can even try the jumps. Fernleigh is more of a "how far do we want to ride today" place. We've gone in and done a loop back out, and we've done the whole loop out to the beach and back around. I'm in Lambton and have a well equipped shed of tools and parts if you need help getting the bike together. Unless you're coming to rob the place, in which case the shed is empty except for a hungry, angry Rottweiler.

Thanks for the offer, should be ok getting the bike together, is just puting the handle bars back on, pedals and wheels + a bit of lube.

Fernleigh sounds like the better option of the two. I have been reading some posts from the site that Climbo suggested looking at, and it sounds like there are some good rides out Glenrock way (which is where the Fernleigh track head into).

What are you thoughts on maybe showing me some of the rides out there sometime on the weekend then?

Sure. Either day is fine as far as I know. If we're doing a loop from Fernleigh into town my wife will probably join us.

Bikecology have just received 3 x VisionStick NiteStick 10. $199. They also have some (slightly) cheaper lights with bidon battery (VisionStick mount theirs under the bidon cage, like a minipump bracket)

I think I have some spare Nitestick parts, battery, lamps, 120v charger.

120V charger won't be much use here! :D
I might be interested in battery, lamp (wattage? 5/10/15?) and cords if you are selling them off. PM once you werk out what you have.

Hehehehe, you got a long way on the BMX forum, didn't you Expat. Quad.. quad...quad... WHAT? Beerman tried, but I think he's only been riding for just over 10 years, so that probably makes him 14 years old.

Now more seriously, there is a BMX track here considered one of the best in Oz. Aus champs here two years ago. I've tried to ride it on an MTB (what a joke that was!!). I had ideas of trying a BMX at one stage, but really... I've learned not to be that stupid.

But if you ever come down here, let me know and I will line up an exclusive run over it (pays to have contacts, eh?).

G'Day Blokes. I'm back for my monthly cleansing of the sole..."It's been 4 weeks since my last post and these are my opinions!"

Well, no luck on the job front. I have had a million interviews (no...seriously, I have!) and I am getting tired of hearing, too expensive, over qualified, too efficious (WTF!!!), "we were looking for a 'younger' senior project director" (WTF!!), "you're exactly what we're looking for but we've decided to review our requirements, could you wait 6 weeks for us to get back to you?" (serious...this was MYOB).

Fella's, not feeling loved at the moment. I've decided to make a change in my career...Business Development (sales), that's what I'm focussing on now. The good news is I have 2 companies interested and both are looking to pay pretty well.

Anyhow, enough of this feeling sorry for oneself. How's the team travelling? I notice a few posts about gloves and knicks. Not sure about knicks cause the ones I have are average, however, the prorace gloves I got from probikekit have lasted really well so far. Hitchy, I know you hate their knicks, but their gloves have worn well. The only comment is they tend to get tight on the webbing in between the fingers on longer rides. The cool thing was they only cost $16 cause I got them sent in a large shipment and total postage cost was $25.

Oh, by the way, I know what QuadMolly is! 2 sisters with 2 heads from the same family in Launceston!! HA!

At least you're getting interviews. I've got a stack of rejection letters. I'm going to be looking a bit further afield as well. Today I have a phone interview with a company in the US.

Looks like the same everywhere, I am in the process of trying for a new position as well and finding it hard. I guess however, Newcastle is not the ideal place to be looking, but I like it here and dont really want to go to Sydney or Melbourne (although Melb over Syd anyday). However, doing interviews is not always bad, is good experience (providing you get somewhere in the end).

Sorry to hear about the lack of jobbage, Wattsy. I know what it's like. It's a weird world out there, and companies lack of vision is sometimes incredibly demoralising. Keep pluggin' away. Worse comes to worse, you can always freelance consult like me! It's a very stable and satisfying lifestyle, really it is. :rolleyes:

Now, Quadmoly. Another wanky term for quad butted 4130 I'm guessing. OBVIOUSLY 'quad' must be far, far superior to 'double', so I'm guessing you're on a good thing.

Currently I'm here back at Uni with my high speed connection, busily working to be the first to produce 'QuinMoly'. Sure to be a sales winner.
