They're made in Taiwan, and cost $800, but there's a minimum order of 10 |

The retail dudes are putting stickers on them and selling them for 1500 or 1600 bucks! |
I went looking for Ride just now and it wasn't in the shops.
So I bought a sixer of Coopers Pale instead :D |
Well I'm glad to hear nobody has Ride yet, I was begining to think it had be lost in the mail again.
Also, I have not pedaled my bike in about 5 months! |
Someone asked for this - forgot who, sorry.... I have one for muffins too, want that one?
Power Bars Ingredients 1 C rolled oats ½ C sesame seeds 1.5 C dried apricots, finely chopped 1 C blanched almonds, chopped ½ C nonfat dried milk ½ C roasted wheat germ or oat bran ¾ C sugar 2 tsp butter 1 C corn syrup/honey (either one or a combo) 1 ¼ C peanut butter (give me crunchy or give me death!) Chocolate chips What do I do with the stuff? Chop apricots and almonds. Lightly toast sesame seeds, almonds, and wheat germ/oat bran separately in an oven. Combine all ingredients above up to butter in a large mixing bowl. Lightly heat and melt butter, corn syrup/honey, and peanut butter in pan until runny, stirring constantly. Mix dry and wet ingredients until well-combined (it's hot so don't use your hands!) Spread on a flat baking sheet lined with foil or wax paper. Press very flat. While everything's still warm, spread chocolate chips over the top. With oven still warm from toasting, put whole thing into oven and heat for 5 min, stirring with a spatula to melt the chocolate chips into a top layer. Place uncovered in fridge or freezer to harden. Cut into separate portions (above makes ~30), wrap with foil, and keep in freezer until your ride. PS. I couldn't be bothered with the toasting thing so I never did it and they taste fine, I also left out sesame seeds 'cause I had none so you can vary it to suit tastes etc. |
Aw shit! What next? Hair and nail tips? :D
|
Oh, is it bad when ASIO and/or the Federal Police show up at your work?

It's in American so you may need some translation from Expat :D
POWER MUFFINS 1-1/4 cup all purpose flour 1-1/2 cup whole wheat flour 1 cup oatmeal 1/2 cup soy granules 1 scoop vanilla protein powder scant 1/2 cup sugar scant 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 T baking powder 1 t baking soda 1 t salt 1 t cinnamon heavy 1/2 t ground allspice heavy 1-1/4 cup grated carrots 1 cup raisins Combine all this in a large bowl. heavy 3/4 cup 1% milk heavy 1/2 cup low-fat buttermilk heavy 1/3 cup light ricotta cheese Heavy 1/2 cup mashed pumpkin or sweet potato 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 T vanilla 1 lg egg white 1 lg egg Combine all this in another bowl. Mix well. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, add wet stuff and mix just until all mixed. Spray a muffin tin with Pam and fill almost to the top. Bake for 20 minutes @ 400. Remove from pan immediately and enjoy! These are really good! I eat a couple every day. They have about 200 calories and 4.5 grams of fat and have lots of fiber & protein. Tomorrow's Tip: how to fold down your laundry so it doesn't crease in the wrong place - NOT. |

Couldn't race yesterday myself (first club handicap of the year), had baby duty. Went for a MTB ride this AM though. Found some new singletrack up at Kincumber mountain. I now know why I've seen a few downhill bikes trudging up there, some nasty stuff near the top. PShaw will be pleased. |

Saw it on Sunrise with Kochie this morning. Absolutely disgraceful.....hopefully the heat will go on the Premier to do something.

Yay for the police. They're doing a good job.
If it's made it to tjhe telly that's got to be a good thing. The more exposure it get's the better chance something might change. I wont hold my breath though. :( |
that's an absolute joke !

But I'll tell you anyway... You have to go down past the sub-station near the lookout at the top of the mountain, it goes over and down a huge rock garden, has a huge berm of natural rock to about a 3 foot drop, then barrels down on to the fire road. There's a massive (about 6 foot) jump built over to the right of the fire road further down, continue on that fire road for a bit, then you hit that section we went down the other week. I also found a track that goes down a really tight, bendy stair section. I got my teeth rattled out, must be over 100 stairs. Who's racing tomorrow? I am, we're riding up from Erina/Kincumber at noon ! |
and almost got hit last night. P-plater tuning left at a roundabout, I'm behind him about to come through the intersection (about 10 feet behind), he sees my blinky front light or something and freaks out, slams on the brakes in the middle of the roundabout, i lock it up and manage to swerve left and miss his car by about an inch. I yell some not-so-kind words, he then proceeds to do a huge burnout and take off (to the original left hand turn he was indicating to do)
