Tacx is recommended to me by one who has coached a vets world champ and other elites

climbo 05-13-05 04:23 PM

Bloody Evans crashed again !!!!

But go Robbie... and Henk !! :)

climbo 05-13-05 04:32 PM

i have a cyclops but read up on tacx and was going to get one until I got the cyclops cheap. I'd say they are well recommended by people who have them. Not much help hey :)

Brian 05-13-05 04:55 PM

I did locate the USPS team issued trainer, but here's one that will match your Elite cages.

Brian 05-15-05 04:19 AM

Munchie, where can I get a map of the trails around Glenrock?

I dunno. Pity you can't get GoogleMap's satellite images for Oz yet :(

jock 05-15-05 04:11 PM

Who got most points for OTB?

climbo 05-15-05 04:39 PM

the Glenrock trail alliance forum used to have a rough one, it's gone now but I posted a message to see if anyone still has one. From what I read it seems to be that there is no map and that's one of the things they have worked on getting done recently.

This is the best I can do at short notice. It's incomplete and only as accurate as my eye could pick the trails out:

climbo 05-15-05 05:20 PM

anyone know geometry on Raceline bikes?

Red lines are arterial roads, green line is gun club rd. The area circled in red is the HDWB sewerage plant.

climbo 05-15-05 06:19 PM

not sure if we hit any of that, we were on trails all over that place but never got over towards the beach side trails. This place has plenty to explore !

berny 05-15-05 07:13 PM

Mornin'. Did the inaugural 'road enduro' yesterday. What a great event. Our team of four, completed the 12hr road endurance event with the following results. 86 laps completed. Eastern Crk. track lap = 3.93k x 86 = 339k/4 = 84.5k ea = 28.25av. Not bad for E graders.
E/Cr has a decent climb around the back and it gets harder every lap. I'm pretty stuffed today.
I'm not sure where that puts us in the scheme of things, probably well down the list overall (we were running midfield at 6hrs.) but I think we'll take out our club handicap.

What beaches are those?

climbo 05-15-05 07:15 PM

just south of Merewether beach, don't remember the names. I think Dudley might be the further south one.

Good job on the 12 hour, I thought you were going solo :)

berny 05-15-05 07:26 PM

The guy who won the solo cat. did a massive 114 laps  Thats an av. of 37.33 for 12hrs.
I think he was on/in a recumbant.

jock 05-15-05 07:38 PM

The main beach area shown is locally known as "******pipe". Climbo is right on Dudley tho, it's the beach just south of the bluff in the middle.

Intergiro is the blue jersey, very hotly fought out....Trofia Piaggio is the scooter prize. The one all the riders girlfriends tell them to try and win!!!
