Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It was at Everest Challenge 2 years ago, not even halfway through the first day. Taking the jersey off wasn't hard, it was finding something to wipe my ass with that was tricky

I used to keep latex gloves in my seat bag for greasy repairs, but I wouldn't want it to come to that.

Look for a patch of poison oak and make the rest of the ride a real challenge.

I wandered into some poison oak 2 Saturdays back on a nature break and now I have a lovely rash on my ankles.

So many great quotes...

I think this thread deserves the "Fails So Hard It Actually Wins" award.

Kostyap, if you would oblige, I am curious to hear your thoughts on this bike. I think it may be perfect for you.

I have three words for you:

Full Zip Jersey.

Then you can unzip it and take it off like a jacket.

True. But I already have what I have and in no mood spending more money for no apparent benefit. So I'll think about it when my current set of 2 starts to desintegrate. I do not think it's going to happen anytime soon though.

You wear bibs over your jerseys, ride with a fanny pack, and don't shave your legs? Troll, or failure.

If you wear your bibs over your jersey, can I ask why you wear bibs at all to begin with?

Feels more comfortable and padding held in place nicely. Shorts slide a lot and I'd get chafing sometimes. Also sharp tip of the saddle (Toupe) would sometimes grab the shorts in inseam area and pull it.

Bikes: N-1 where N = number needed

How can you reach into your pockets to get stuff to throw at cars if your jersey is under your bibs?

For the love of Lance!

Sell the old jerseys on eBay and buy a couple of full zip jerseys so that you are no longer are forced into this horrific Sophie's Choice nightmare of cycling apparel heresy!

Think of the children!

The answer to the question 'why not wear bib straps over your jersey' is the same as the answer to 'why don't you tuck your shirt into your underwear'.
