Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just the fact that you can talk to Mr. Williams is good enough for me. Nice wheels. Just got one

Bikes: Race bike, training bike, go fast bike and a trainer slave.

2 sets of the 30's...

Wife has one set and I have one...Have about 3000km's on them...

My first rear had a bit of side to side play after a couple weeks, Keith replaced it...

Wife's front now has side to side play, Kieth is sending out new bearings...

Wheels are all still relatively true, but I will be getting them looked at in the off season.

I like how the wheels perform, but am concerned about the durability of the bearings. Only time will tell....

Check out ROL D'Huez. I have the Race SLs, great wheels. The D'Huez fit your budget and weight requirement.

I just received a set of the Williams 58 carbon clinchers this week and raced them yesterday. I'm still a noob but I love them at speed. I can tell the weight difference when trying to get up to speed or on climbs, but once I hit about 19-20 mph I can feel the aero start to work and then around 24 mph they really start paying off.

I did a ton of research and the reviews of Keith's customer service (in addition to the wheel reviews) won me over. He promptly returned my call when I had questions about ordering. The wheels were in-stock and I had them in under a week. Happy customer here.

I would like to get a Powertap setup next year and psimet would be at the top of my list.

I'm leaning toward the Williams 38's had a question about something and Keith responded within hours. I would like to talk with Psimet also but havn't heard back from him yet. Euros are also being considered.

Thanks for the info. It would be cool to see some up-close photos of the 58 clinchers, and maybe even a more detailed "review" when you get the time. The rims themselves seem fantastic from what little I've heard and read, but the hubs' durability appears to be the only question.

It's the weekend. I am usually busy racing, spending time with the family, and building wheels. I tend to reply to psimet.com email during the week.

FYI.

You will hear back from me.

You lie.

Moreover, that is a toothless argument.

I have no comparison information for you, but I have a pair of Fulcrum 3's (bought used but in nearly new condition for only $300) that are fantastic. They are not as light as what psimet will be able to build for you, but are perfectly true, spin up fast, and have great hubs.

Too many options, really. I've heard good things about Fulcrums.

Here is a pic on my Specialized Roubaix Expert. I can take a couple of close-ups on the wheels and post them, too. And I'll post additional reviews as I get more time on them. I beat them up pretty good this weekend in three crits and they held up great but I'd like to get more miles on them before claiming success.

I'm impressed with what I read, and the test reports on Williams wheels. For under $500 the 19s and the 30s both seem like good deals. The 30s are only about 100 grams heavier than the 19s, but how much of that is on the rims? 100 grams seems like a small price to pay for better aerodynamics. Yes? No?

Go for the 30's...more durable...Our two sets have around 5000km on them and they are still pretty true, out just a smidge...
