Loving the Fall

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It was about 80 degrees today, here in Los Angeles. By the time I reached Santa Monica, it was about 70 degrees, with a cooling ocean breeze pushing back lightly against me.

Except for the ever-earlier leave taking by the sun, it's not apparent that fall has arrived. The few trees we have that turn color - like liquid amber - don't seem to know it's fall yet.

Yes, I love autumn weather. Tomorrow's prediction? 76 degrees.
