Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How about over 10k?

Snatched from the interwebs. But swap out the Red for SR...

I'd spend it on wheels. I like both my bikes:
Fuji SL-1, Campy 10-seed
Scott Addict R4, Campy 11-speed

I'd buy used, of course.

$5k gets you an awesome high end used Tarmac, SuperSix, etc. And with a boatload left over for a...

...carbon, 21lb mountain bike...

And a ton of custom built carbon wheels...

Custom IF SSR, with SRAM Red and Zipps, or Colnago Master in orange with some form of campy components, probably Record TI and some good wheels.

MSRP is $10,000 but I found this cool website where you can get it really cheap!
Then I could get a wireless powertap, Garmin super computer, and some carbon water bottle cages.

Tarmac SL3 with SRAM Red, Chris King hubs laced to a DT Swiss 1.1 32h rim. I think I'd still have some left over so I'd buy a $350 fit and HELLA Capo Forma spandex. Can you buy spandex with this $10,000?

Easy! First would be an Organic Engines SUV with ALL the options.
Second would be a new Cinelli Super Corsa road frame with full Campy Record Grouppo. I've wanted one of them since the 1960's.
