Why use clipless?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lol, this has become comical, when you stop just twisting what I'm saying I may reply with something meaningful.

Unacceptable. Either every cyclist on earth should use clipless pedals, or no cyclist anywhere should use them!!!!

Also, the ability to cycle more recklessly because your feet are locked to the pedals is a recipe for disaster for yourself and/or others.
That depends on what a sharp turn is. I didn't say a street corner or alley way. I'm talking about something like a perpendicular street crossing on a downhill country road with no sidewalks. It's only reckless if it's outside of your comfort zone and ability. Sometimes I misjudge by a little and that's when I go on the shoulder. It's a calculated risk.

You didn't say "sharp" turns, you wrote "right angle turns" and there is only one definition for those.
